Liu Jianlin congratulated on the establishment of the alliance. He pointed out that the establishment of the International Alliance of Ecological Water Conservancy and New Energy is of great significance for deepening the integration of industry and education, science and education, discipline integration and international communication. Liu Yunhe welcomed the guests attending the conference.He indicated that the institution, anchored by the State Key Laboratory of Ecological Water Conservancy in the Arid Northwest Region, the National First-Level Key Discipline in Water Conservancy Engineering, and the National Base for Ecological Water Conservancy in the Arid Northwest Region, actively leverages its strengths in overseas scientific research and engineering projects. It has comprehensively enhanced pragmatic collaborations in talent development, scientific research, and academic program development. Consequently, it has established the "International Alliance of Ecological Water Conservancy and New Energy" as a premium platform that encompasses various functions including academic leadership, scientific innovation, talent cultivation, think tank support, and cultural leadership. This fosters resource sharing, mutual enhancement, collaborative innovation, and mutual benefits among the alliance members, thereby enriching the practical essence of a shared future for humanity.

At the meeting, the participating leaders jointly launched the "International Alliance of Ecological Water and New Energy"; Liu Jianlin awarded the representatives of the standing council units of the alliance; Liu Yunhe and Zhou Jun awarded the representatives of the governing units; Shao Jun awarded the letter of appointment of the alliance staff to the relevant personnel. After the meeting, a symposium on the development strategy of the International Alliance for Ecological Water Conservancy and New Energy was held. Five experts respectively made special reports and jointly discussed the development vision of the alliance.
The International Alliance of Ecological Water Conservancy and New Energy was led by Xi'an University of Technology, and jointly established by 26 domestic and foreign universities and enterprises. Nearly 300 experts from both domestic and foreign countries from more than 30 units attended the inaugural meeting.
